MAGIC programme
Usually, when someone really wants to do something they perform so much better. Helping young people to recognise what is important to them can make their future path much clearer and more enjoyable. After all, they may be future parents, teachers, doctors, surgeons… providing them with support as well as tried and tested tools helps young people realise their worth and helps build their self-esteem. This will go a long way to their being able to make the right decisions for them. This can be achieved through the MAGIC programme.
The course itself is geared towards 11 to 19 year olds to add to formal and informal education and allows young people to address and explore their own self-development. There are many benefits that the M.A.G.I.C. Programme gives young people including:
- being able to identify their potential and working towards it
- learning the value of listening and being listened to
- learning how to set achievable goals
- learning how to respond appropriately and not react
- understanding core values and what is important to the individual
The MAGIC programme has been approved by several schools and child psychologists. It has also been approved by the head child psychologist at Barnardo's and used within their charity organisation. It is most often composed of 2.5 hour workshops spread over 8 weeks and consists of 6 modules. Individual requirements are always taken into account.
I am accredited to deliver this course but what is especially wonderful is that young people who have completed this course can receive accreditation from the Open College Network (OCN) which can provide them with up to 6 credits at Levels 1 or 2 to take forward to any further education that they may undertake. It is possible to take this course on a non-accreditation basis also.
The OCN require a fee to cover the accreditation costs per student. This is currently £20 per student. Please refer to Pricing for the current fees.

“Thank you for your work with my group…they participated and engaged with the ‘Magic’ programme and it is good to see that they have achieved their goals. I know that the group have all progressed on to further training or college courses and I’m sure that the work that you had covered with them help them achieve this.”
